Consumers Cooperative Association 2020-2021 Scholarship

In the spirit of supporting and investing in the youth of our community, Consumers Cooperative Association (proud sponsor of Consumers Credit Union) is excited to announce a total of $50,000 in scholarships will be awarded to high school seniors entering an accredited college, university, community college or trade school in the fall of 2021. 

It is estimated this application will take about an hour to complete. It is recommended that you register before starting the application. This will allow the ability to "save" the application along the way. It will also let the applicant leave the application, come back, log in, and resume completing the application.

What is the Consumers Cooperative Association Scholarship?

    (a) Consumers Cooperative Association has established a scholarship program to assist high school seniors who plan to continue their education in college.  Scholarships are offered for full-time study at an accredited institution of the student’s choice.

    (b) $2,000 scholarship to be awarded to twenty (20) graduating high school seniors graduating in 2021.

    (c) $10,000 Bill Reidel Honorary Scholarship to be awarded to one (1) graduating high school senior - year 2021.

Eligibility:  Applicants must fulfill all the eligibility requirements: 

    (a)  Applicant or the parents/guardian must be a Member of Consumers Credit Union or Andigo Credit Union for a minimum of one year in good standing.

    (b)   Applicant must be a graduating high school senior in 2021

    (c)   Plan to attend an accredited 2+ year college or university for the 2021-2022 academic year.

Application Process:

    (a)  To apply, applications must be submitted electronically by completing the online form.

Correspondence throughout the application process will be by email and US postal mail.  E-mail messages will be sent to the email provided in the application.  Be sure to add [email protected] to your contacts or address book and check your email regularly.

Completing the online application:

  • Enter the date in the format described.  Please use proper punctuation and standard capitalization.
  • Fields indicated with an (*) are required fields. 
  • Upload required documents prior to submitting the application.
  • Once all application requirements are satisfied carefully review your entire application before clicking the "Submit" button at the end of the application.
  • After the application is successfully submitted, no further additions or changes can be made.  You will no longer have access to your application account or data.
  • You will receive a message on the screen to acknowledge receipt of your submitted application.
  • We recommend that you print a hard copy of your application for your records.

 (b) Applications are evaluated on the information supplied; therefore answer all questions as completely as possible.

 (c) Applications must be submitted by the deadline in order for your application to be processed.  

Required Documents, to be submitted with the application prior to 12/31/2020

    (a)  Current unofficial transcript (this will look similar or identical to an official transcript but may not have a seal or tamper-proof marks on it or be inside a sealed envelope).  Please contact your guidance counselor on obtaining this information.  In some cases, it may take 7-10 days to get this document.  Keep this in mind to meet the 12/31/20 application deadline.

    (b) Copy of your first semester grades (if available). If not, your senior year course schedule.

Application Deadline: 

    (a) Your application must be submitted by December 31, 2020 by 11:59 p.m. CST (Central Standard Time)


    (a) Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of community involvement, school involvement, work             experience, academic performance, essay, and financial need. 

    (b) Selection of recipients is made by the Consumers Cooperative Association Scholarship Committee.  In no instance does any officer or employee of Consumers Credit Union play a part in the selection.  All  applicants agree to accept the decision as final. 


                       (a) Recipients will be notified by February 23, 2021.  Not all applicants will be selected as recipients. 

Payment of Scholarship

                       (a) Scholarships will be paid by the Consumers Cooperative Association.  The payment is made in one installment. A check is made payable to the student’s school and mailed to each recipient’s home address. 

                       (b) The $10,000 Bill Reidel Honorary scholarship will be paid in two installments over two years. $5,000 will be paid in year 1, and the remaining $5,000 will be paid in year 2. The student will be required to maintain a B average in the first year to receive the second‐year payment. The checks will be made payable to the student’s school and mailed directly to the school on August 1, 2021.


                     (a) Recipients have no obligation to the Consumers Cooperative Association.  They are however required to notify the scholarship committee of any changes in address, school enrollment, or other relevant information. 

                    (c) Winners must notify the Scholarship Committee of the school you will be attending no later than July 1, 2021.


                    (a) Consumers Cooperative Association reserves the right to review the conditions and procedures of this sholarship program and to make changes at any time including termination of the program.
