You can now manage your Home Equity accounts, including HELOCs and Home Equity Loans, directly through Digital Banking.

Note: Home equity loan history will not be displayed in the new system, but past statements will remain available in your eStatement portal

Protect Your Home Equity

Home equity accounts can be a target for fraud. Monitor your account regularly and report any unfamiliar transactions right away. Remember, Consumers will never ask for sensitive information like passwords, PINs, or verification codes.

The live chat feature is available for CCU members with access to Digital Banking. If you do not have access to Digital Banking and would like to register, click here to register. Chat is available via mobile app and through our website once logged in.

If a Home Equity payment was made in error and needs to be reversed or adjusted, please contact the servicing team:

  • Please contact Home Equity Servicing at 877.275.2228
  • Submit a request:
    1) Log in to your account via digital banking
    2) Under Support Hub, click on the Create a New Message icon.
    3) Select the Topic: Go to Home Loan Services, enter information in the message box and send.

What to Expect

  • The servicing team will help correct the payment and update your account.
  • You may also request reversal of any fees or late charges that were applied due to the error.
  • If a late fee was assessed incorrectly or you would like to request a late fee adjustment, the representative will review your account and assist with submitting the request.
  • Have your account information and payment details ready to help expedite the process.

After you have paid off your Home Equity loan, your Home Equity account information will remain visible in Digital Banking until your IRS Form 1098 is issued at the end of January in the following year.

This allows you to access any necessary information for tax reporting purposes.

Please include your loan account number on the check. Allow at least 7 business days for us to receive your payment. Do not send cash.

Note: Want to make a principal-only payment? Just remember to write principal only and your loan number on your check. Be sure your current monthly payment is up to date. We cannot apply extra principal to loans that are not current.

These instructions apply to Home Equity transactions that are not regular monthly payments, including:

  • Principal-only payments
  • Home Equity Payoff

Important: Each loan has a unique beneficiary (BNF) account number based on the loan number. Always include Home Equity loan number, Member name, Subject Property address.

Reference: Loan Number & Name – Reference note of payoff to close OR paydown to zero balance

Any payments received after 3 pm CST will be processed next business day. Payoffs are not posted on weekends and holidays. Accrued interest will be added to the payoff for those days.

NOTE: If the above wiring instructions are not followed, it could result in additional accrued interest and delayed processing. In the event a previously applied payment is reversed due to a dishonored or returned item, there will be a fee charged not to exceed the amount permitted by law, and an updated Payoff Statement will be issued.
