e-Bills are electronic versions of paper statements or bills. Your creditor’s e-Bill arrives in your bill pay account service just as a creditor’s paper bill arrives in your mailbox. Bill pay allows you to view all your e-Bills – as well as account balances, transactions and statement information – in one convenient place.

  • Set Up Autopay for e-Bills and Recurring Payments – You can add and manage e-Bill and recurring-payment Autopay plans.
  • Add Reminders – When setting up e-Bills and Autopay, you’re presented with email reminder options to help you manage your payments. You can also set up personal (manual) reminders, which will appear in the Pay Bills screen under Upcoming bills.
  • View and Manage Payment Activity – You can view and manage payment activity.
  • View Biller Categories – You can view a category assigned to a biller.
  • Add Groups, Assign Billers to Groups, and Manage Groups—You can set up biller groups, assign them, and manage them.
  • Send Payment Inquiries—You can send a payment inquiry to Customer Service regarding a processed payment
  • Download Activity Data – You can download activity data in CSV format and have the option to source the download from multiple accounts.
  • View and Manage Profile/View and Manage Accounts – Some members were able to view and manage profile and account information with CheckFree RXP. With CheckFree Next, you don’t have access to that information. Instead, profile and account information resides at CC and is passed to CheckFree Next.
  • Activate several e-Bills at a time through the e-Bill Multiple Activation and Quick e-Bill Activation features – With CheckFree Next, you activate e-Bills one at a time through a simple, streamlined activation process.
  • Assign a Category to a Biller – Billers previously assigned to a category –including those assigned to custom categories created by the member – will remain in that category after the upgrade. In CheckFree Next, a biller is assigned automatically to a predefined category when it is added by the member. Also, in CheckFree Next, new custom categories can’t be created; billers can’t be assigned to a custom category; and searching for and filtering on categories is not supported.
  • Apply Biller Updates to Pending Payments – In CheckFree RXP, when a member made an update to a biller and there was a pending payment to that biller, they were presented with the option to apply the change to the pending payment. With CheckFree Next, when you make an update to a biller for which a payment is pending, the change is applied automatically to the pending payment.
  • Onboarding Screens and Associated Emails – For new users of CheckFree RXP, onboarding screens were displayed, and associated emails were sent to encourage members to add billers and make payments. CheckFree Next doesn’t do that. However, the product supports Bill Discovery (a premium offering), a feature that enables you to find billers from the Fiserv biller network and/or their credit report and add them to the list of billers quickly and easily.
  • Help Center – The Help Center in CheckFree RXP isn’t carried over to CheckFree Next.
  • File a Bill Reason Option – In CheckFree RXP, you could specify a reason when filing (or marking as paid) a bill, and that action and reason given were listed in History. In CheckFree Next, however, you are not presented with an option specifying the reason when you select Mark as paid for a bill, and that action is listed on the BILLER DETAILS screen.
  • Turn Off Logos and Icons – The CheckFree RXP UI included the Logo & Icon Display option, which enabled you to turn off (or turn on) the small visual elements (logos and icons) associated with billers. This option is not carried over to CheckFree Next.
