Setting Up New ACH Payments or Direct Deposit
Direct deposit and ACH payments make managing your money easier and more reliable. They are often faster than paper checks and help ensure your funds are deposited securely and on time.
This guide walks you through what you need to set up a new ACH payment or direct deposit for any Consumers Credit Union (CCU) account.
What You’ll Need
To set up direct deposit or ACH payments, have the following information available:
- Consumers Credit Union routing number: 271989950
- Your CCU account number for the specific deposit or loan account you want to use
You’ll provide this information to your employer, benefits provider, biller, or any organization that will be sending or withdrawing funds electronically.
How to Find Your CCU Account Number
Your full account number is available in Online and Mobile Banking.
- Log in to Online Banking or the Consumers Mobile App
- Go to the Accounts section
- Select the loan or deposit account you want to use
- The number shown is your full account number for ACH payments or direct deposit
Each loan and deposit account has its own unique account number, so be sure you select the correct account when setting things up.
Helpful Tips
- When you set up direct deposit, your employer may ask whether the account is for checking or savings.
- Some employers or billers may request a voided check. If you don’t have checks, you can use your routing and account numbers instead. You can find these numbers by logging into digital banking.
- It may take one or two pay cycles for changes to direct deposit or ACH payments to take effect, depending on the sender.
