Lisa Swenson is a long-time agent who worked with me to obtain our 1st home, as well as recently refinance-she is great to work with! Her engagement, attention to detail, patience and kindness made both processes almost easy :)

One of the reasons I chose Consumers Credit Union to do my mortgage with is the excellent customer service and attention to detail. Waukegan, IL January 10, 2017:  Consumers Credit Union ($1.054 Billion; Waukegan, IL) recently announced the candidates running for the Member-owned credit union’s Board of Directors. Six (6) candidates are vying for four (4) positions on CCU’s Board, with the election scheduled for Wednesday, March 15, 2017, at Keylime Cove Resort in Gurnee, IL. The election is one of the main agenda items as part of the credit union’s 87th Annual Meeting.

Nominees for election to the CCU Board of Directors include the following (listed alphabetically by last name, alongside city of residence, with incumbents identified as such):

  • Nancy Anderson, Incumbent, Ingleside, IL
  • Denise Twardy Charts, Incumbent, Libertyville, IL
  • Scott Drabicki, Vernon Hills, IL
  • Demar Harris, Waukegan, IL
  • John Janezic, Incumbent, Green Oaks, IL
  • Spiridoula Mavrothalasitis, Chicago, IL

“While there are many benefits to credit union membership, perhaps none is more important than having a voice in credit union governance,” noted Sean M. Rathjen, CCU CEO. “That voice includes the right to run for CCU’s Board of Directors and to vote in the annual election for the board. CCU is proud to have six highly-qualified candidates wishing to serve on our board and we look forward to the election at our 87th Annual Meeting this March.”

Voting at the Annual Meeting will be counted and certified by CCU’s CPA firm, Wipfli, Ullrich, Bertelson LLP.  After results are certified, those elected will be notified to attend the board’s organizational meeting at 6:00 pm on Thursday, March 23, 2017.  The agenda for that initial board meeting consists of organizing the board, electing officers for the coming year and determining who will serve on the board’s various standing committees.

Approximately 300 Members and guests are expected to attend the Annual Meeting at Keylime Cove Resort, 1700 Nations Drive in Gurnee, IL.  Tickets are available for $15.00 each on a first-come, first-serve basis at all CCU offices; no tickets will be sold at the door.  Registration and voting begins at 5:30 p.m., with dinner served at 6:30 p.m., followed by a business meeting to inform Members of CCU’s 2016 financial status and the election of board members. Annual reports recapping the credit union’s 2016 performance will also be distributed at the meeting.
