Q: What do I need to open an account?
A: You can become a member by depositing $5.00 into your savings account and by paying a one-time $5.00 membership fee. You will also need proper identification.
Q: Can I open an account for my children?
A: Yes. You will need the child's social security card and proper identification for yourself. The minimum deposit is only $10.00. The first $5.00 is applied to the association fee and the other $5.00 is retained as the minimum balance for the savings account.
Q: What identification can I use to open an account?
A: You can use a valid unexpired driver's license; valid unexpired state issued identification; a valid U.S. military identification card with photo; a U.S. passport with a social security card; an unexpired firearm owners identification (FOID) card with a valid social security card; a U.S. Alien Registration (Green) card with valid social security card; or Mexican consular registration certificate (Matricula Card).
Q: Does CCU handle Trust accounts?
A: Yes. CCU can accept a trust agreement prepared by your lawyer.
Q: Can I open a business account at CCU?
A: Yes! CCU now has a variety of commercial account options for businesses of all sizes.
Q: What is a "joint member"?
A: A joint member is the owner on the account other than the primary. The primary is the first person on the account.
Q: What can a joint member on my account do?
A: A joint owner may perform all general account transactions such as deposits and withdrawals. However the joint member may not establish new accounts without the primary's consent.
Q: How do I take a joint member off my account?
A: If the joint owner is not deceased, the credit union will do an account number change. We would move all the current relationships to a new account number and delete the joint owner.
Q: Who do I call about Bill Payment questions?
A: Consumer's Contact Center handles all Bill Payment support calls. Please call CCU during regular business hours at 877.275.2228 (ASK.CCCU).
Q: Can I open up a new IRA through the website?
A: No. For a new IRA we need for to come in to an office and complete an IRA application. After the application is complete, you can open up as many new IRA CD's online as you would like.
Q: What should I do if my access to Online Banking gets locked out?
A: You can use the 'Forgot my password' link on the main page if you know your account number and Telephone Teller (Call24) Pin. Otherwise, you can call CCU during regular business hours at 877.275.2228 (ASK.CCCU).
